Yo, this guy deserves a federal holiday. I'm sure the current administration would love to have a day to celebrate a famous Republican veteran who had to make his own bootstraps before he could even pull himself up by them...
I acknowledge your snark, but he had a fort until the '40s, one of the largest ships in the Army, and now the cruiser formerly known as Chancellorsville. Seems about right.
