The moral panic about tankies is a waste of time that distracts from focusing on the elites destroying our planet and emiserating the lives of disadvantaged communities.

Part of that is not contributing to the growth of their spaces and/or calling for the Fediverse at large to defed from them

Creating memes mocking them is not ignoring. Encourage people not to buy from amazon or post on facebook instead.

While that's admirable, you gotta tailor your "calls to action"s (ig is what they're called") to where you're at.

Here on Lemmy the biggest issues are the tankies, posting about people not buying from Amazon or posting on FB on Lemmy isn't really effective because most of the people here already likely do that. Those kinda posts would be more effective in someplace like Reddit where that's far more common and Tankies are far less common
