Monero is the successor of Bitcoin:

automatically private and uncensorable

decentralized, any computer can participate

any PC can easily mine XMR with the GUI wallet

Faster transactions than Bitcoin

low transaction fees, even with high utilization

The issues I still see with Monero are scaling and UX. The latest stress test showed us that the nodes cannot do more than 300-500k transactions per day without issues.

Wallet sync and coin locking will hamper mass adoption. If Bitcoin Cash ever adds proper privacy I think it will be the winner as it has all other boxes checked.
