I don't see that he said fuck you anywhere in the article. He even agreed to meet the dress code for the event the next day bit the organization refused him. He just didn't want to leave to change so he didn't. Neither side was obligated to compromise on their values. It wasn't even like he was dressed poorly in the pictures they have. Most of the people I work with at my office dress worse than that.

Fair enough. Seems like there was more to it than just the dress code though. Sounds like that was the last straw.
