If you're interested in trying an app with no ads, I'm using Thunder and it's great. Cross platform for Android and iOS.

The ad free upgrade for boost is only a few dollars. I don't remember if it's done through the app or the play store, though.

I might. Ads are pretty unintrusive on lemmy, but these caught my eye
