The lack of a background is throwing off the perspective for me. That looks like a great pyrenees, but somehow fitting its entire body on a barstool. I can't decide if it's actually a small dog or a larger seat/pedestal.
If that's a regular size pipe, my vote is for large pedestal.
I think it's actually a table
