Elaine... As in Elaine Marley?
Elaine Marley, as in the governor of Melee Island in the game Monkey Island?
The very badass Elaine Marley that was probably the first woman in computer games to actually have some form of agency? (Okay, I think Samus was first, but still, governor Marley must have been the second one)
Naming yourself after the snarky pirate queen, governor Marley, is absolutely okay! She's an exceptionally good-hearted woman. And has a healthy self-esteem. And is stylish.
Here's a link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QgRIXntFhww&t=191m47s
Unless, of course, you think it's a bad omen that governor Marley ends up married with a wannabe pirate who is extremely good in solving problems in very creative ways and can hold their breath for 10 full minutes!
I've always been a big fan of Elaine :)
EDIT: How does a role model get better from this?
