He's one of the leaders of the Democratic party. If he's not going to do his job, he needs to step down.

Oh, he's doing his job. It's what he's paid for.

He's in a position of power, but I would never call him a leader. He's a fat cat who has been bought and paid for.

The DNC have no power aside from blocking non-budgetary bills and even then the GOP could change the Filibuster rules if they really wanted to.

DNC plus Caucus is 47 senators, and a minority in the House.

They have the power to talk to the people and sway opinion. They choose not to use this power.

Wrong and this why neolins and their pretend weakness has pissed everyone off. Even now, a new rule has been "found" that will allow Mike Johnson to fire a clerk and avoid seating people.

They can weaponize committees that hamper and stop appointments and actions

This "we are the minority and can't do anything" is bullshit

House Procedural Levers In the House, the minority can utilize motions to recommit, which are guaranteed opportunities to force a vote on substantive amendments or kill legislation. They can also leverage suspension of the rules procedures; since these require a two-thirds vote, the minority can withhold support to slow down business if they feel excluded from floor consideration. Furthermore, House rules authorize minority members to request separate hearing days with their own witnesses, a tactic used to investigate specific issues like D.C. statehood.

Oversight and Public Pressure Beyond floor rules, the minority can request subpoenas for witnesses or records to force transparency, even if they lack the votes to pass the motion, thereby highlighting majority refusal to investigate. They may hold minority panels or forums to publicize issues and gather whistleblower information, bypassing official committee processes. Finally, public protests and sustained media campaigns can mobilize constituent pressure, as seen when Democrats held the Senate floor overnight to protest an OMB nominee.

Strategic Coordination Effective obstruction often requires cross-committee coordination to identify and highlight negative impacts of executive actions on specific demographics, such as veterans or seniors. By issuing minority reports detailing these impacts in both Democratic and Republican districts, the minority can build public consensus against specific policies. This approach combines procedural delays with public accountability, making it more difficult for the majority to dismiss opposition as purely partisan.

We only ever see this used by Republicans, meanwhile, we just have to vote HARDER. Can anyone even FIND legit supporters of Jeffries and Schumer (that aren't Israeli)

They could STOP FUNDING MAGA

They could stop sharing the same financial donors as the people committing warcrimes and treason.
