We have a serious democracy. The problem is even worse. Our people have choosen his party. They want the far right agenda.

The us interference might have helped, but most people would do the same without it. We can't blame others for this. It's the most depressing thing ever

Most people don't truly want the far right agenda. However, the right controls almost all of the media. The biggest master play of the right was realizing early that shit like Facebook had a lot of potential for propaganda. While the biggest fuck up of the left all over the world was not banning foreign-owned and controlled social media before it became too big to just block it. China did the obvious correct thing: don't allow foreign powers to control the media in your country. Since then, we have been fighting a losing war.

Their propaganda machine does a lot into converting the poorer people, but for our middle class? Oh, they know what they're doing... the seed that led to all this goes back to like 15 years ago, whey they were getting more and more uneasy by the fact that poorer people were starting to have higher incomes and started to do things that used to be exclusive to the middle class, like going to university, driving, eating in restaurants, traveling, buying houses, getting into management positions, etc, so they felt like they were losing their privilege and developed a strong hate against the poor and the leftist governments, starting some movements against them. This sentiment was then exploited by the far right agenda, but it wasn't imposed by them. The sentiment was there and still is. They wanted it. They want us to suffer and stay poor. They want to be the homeowners who rent to us, They want to have cheap domestic workers doing the chores for them, etc. This is a rough summary, the situation is a bit more complex, but I assure you, it's not just manipulation.

Oh, I know that. But that is more of the upper-middle class people, and they're just a fraction, less than 5% of the population. A lot of people who see themselves as middle-class (but are in reality just poor as well), especially those that have a car and an apartment and think that this means they are middle class, actually fell for the whole propaganda machine. They have been made to believe they have things to lose if """communism""" wins in Brazil (where in reality they'd stood only to benefit). And they're uneducated enough to see the reality. As someone who taught at private schools, it's insane that people pay thousands a month for a shitty education that only teaches their kids to be mindless drones working for the corporations. Entire generations paying to learn how not to think for themselves, they are taught to repeat some patterns like a monkey. These are also the ones voting for this shit now as well. And their parents who had no proper education either.

I get what you say, but don't think they're innocent and just victims of propaganda. They hate the ones poorer than them. They dream of vulnerable people getting poor enough to do domestic work for them for cheap, they want to be the only homeowners and rent their spare houses to the poorer, they love to have their children in those shitty private schools just so they can brag about it and not let them mix themselves with the poorer. They middle class might be "poor" by global standards, but they own a local privilege and they care more for not letting the ones below rise than to improve their own lives.

The far-right leaders noticed those feelings and took advantage with propaganda machine, but those people are far from mere victims of propaganda...
