Oh, I know that. But that is more of the upper-middle class people, and they're just a fraction, less than 5% of the population. A lot of people who see themselves as middle-class (but are in reality just poor as well), especially those that have a car and an apartment and think that this means they are middle class, actually fell for the whole propaganda machine. They have been made to believe they have things to lose if """communism""" wins in Brazil (where in reality they'd stood only to benefit). And they're uneducated enough to see the reality. As someone who taught at private schools, it's insane that people pay thousands a month for a shitty education that only teaches their kids to be mindless drones working for the corporations. Entire generations paying to learn how not to think for themselves, they are taught to repeat some patterns like a monkey. These are also the ones voting for this shit now as well. And their parents who had no proper education either.

I get what you say, but don't think they're innocent and just victims of propaganda. They hate the ones poorer than them. They dream of vulnerable people getting poor enough to do domestic work for them for cheap, they want to be the only homeowners and rent their spare houses to the poorer, they love to have their children in those shitty private schools just so they can brag about it and not let them mix themselves with the poorer. They middle class might be "poor" by global standards, but they own a local privilege and they care more for not letting the ones below rise than to improve their own lives.

The far-right leaders noticed those feelings and took advantage with propaganda machine, but those people are far from mere victims of propaganda...
