Understanding a situation is different from excusing it.
I agree. That's not what you're doing, however.
Seeing as that is not derived from my actual words: Do you work for the thought police?
See also another comment where someone points out that USA does the same thing with schools in their own military compounds and I went away to fact check it only to come back with a citation proving they were right.
Does that sound like someone trying to understand what is happening or someone who is stubbornly pushing an agenda?

It's your words I'm policing. If that's not what you thought, you were repeatedly horrendous at communicating it.
PS If we are going to be "literal" then you are objectively wrong. The victims were innocent civilians however I was apportioning some of the blame to the IRGC.

Ah yes, as I suspected..For you it is about winning or losing, not about learning.
That was a war crime on the part the IRGC already. Fact. Geneva convention as cited. Did you know that? Now you certainly do. Nothing horrendous about me teaching you if you didn't know.
There are two reasons that tragedy occurred.
Then someone pointed out that USA Military does the same all over the place. Did you know that? Now you do. I accepted that made the US position worse.

It seems IRGC backed Hezbollah killed Druze kids in a soccer field with an Iranian rocket. However it also seems there was a military target nearby (which would be a war crime on the part of Israel).
