Being friends or family of someone who got murdered sucks.

I don't give a fuck about the family of the health insurance CEO that got Luigi'd. They got their fortune from killing millions of Americans, and they still get to be stupidly rich for the rest of their lives.

If someone used a Death Note to take out the 100 most wealthy individuals in the world, you'd save hundreds of thousands of lives and improve the lives of orders of magnitude more people than that.
