Why nobody mention that Saudi arabia restarted the war by attacking an envoy returning from Khamanei funeral leading to this?

[–] bedwyr@piefed.ca 4 points 20 hours ago (3 children)

You have a link?

Iran really should assassinate the leaders of the Saudis and UAE. Patience is a virtue, just get the pieces in place, and wait.

[–] finallymadeanaccount@lemmy.world 6 points 19 hours ago

There's a genocidal war criminal in Israel could use a bit of that.

[–] anarchy79@lemmy.world 4 points 17 hours ago

I mean they literally invented assassins, the whole thing writes itself.

They are ruled by families, killinggnillik and they current leaders is useless

killinggnillik

Who is gnillik? What is happening here? I get that it's a palindrome but why?

[–] bedwyr@piefed.ca -1 points 20 hours ago (2 children)

Just because someone else will take their place doesn't mean it's useless, that logic would make killing any leader worthless, which is not the case at all.

The royal families of both the Saudis and the UAE are legitimate, and valuable targets for the Iranians to hit. If they don't, then it will just encourage future harm against their country.

It really worked so well for the US killing the leader of Iran. Basically won them the war in one stroke. /s

We have an obvious and pertinent example of a decapitation strike on political leadership not being a particularly good strategy from a military standpoint. Iran seems to be conducting itself much in a much less emotionally reactive way than this, so I doubt we'll see it unless they really are falling apart internally and are just trying to lash out in revenge on their way down.

You are equating the evil empire assassinating a leader with a underdog assassinating the evil empire leaders?

GTFO.

[–] rumimevlevi@sh.itjust.works 1 points 19 hours ago (2 children)

You may end up with even worse more extreme leaders. I just don't see the advantages of assassination . Better focus on ruining those countries foreign and imperialist interests

[–] anarchy79@lemmy.world 1 points 17 hours ago

You could also end up with less extreme leaders. When you already have extremist fascist genocidal psychopaths running the show, you're saying that maybe there will be another extremist fascist genocidal psychopath taking their place.

Ok? I'll take that chance then because if it doesn't change anything then let's keep killing them as they pop up until we get one that isn't an extremist fascist genocidal psychopath anymore.

You don't have to stop after the first one.

So Hitler shouldn't have been killed? Stalin? Mussolini? What about a little tin pot dictator sitting on oil wealth abusing their citizens and neighbors with the help of the biggest bully in the world that they stroke off?

In truth, there is only one thing bullies understand, and losing an amount of money isn't it in this case.

I really find your argument incredible.

I feel like you don't know much about the dirty deeds these guys have been up to since mohhammed bin tuna here took power. They've assassinated a lot of people by the way, using american mercenary firms.

One man regime vs family regime are different

Even then, look at how fucked up Iraq is and how hundreds of thousands and possibly over a million civilians died in the process.
