And that’s basically it!
Reminds me of the time when Joe Biden promised $2000 COVID relief checks, and then when Dems won Georgia, those checks magically became $1400 instead.
Don't trust a politician (and especially Donald) when they promise shit like this. This is the third time he's gone to this well. (Remember the imaginary DOGE dividend and the tariff rebate checks?)
they were only $1400 because joe manchin and the shriveled-up vegetable formerly known as moscow mitch got in the way.
Yup.
Totally. It's always the other side's fault.
That pissed me off! I wonder how many voters decided not to vote due to that stunt alone.
Which stunt, the covid checks that were actual money in pocket multiple times or Trump's corporate rebate checks? I mean both delivered financial relief but only one delivered exclusively to corporate donors.
The stunt Biden promised 2k checks during that midterm runoff in Georgia. But only sent 1400. That was a fucking too.
That sounds like semantics to me. One president delivered cash to people in a time of need and uncertainty. 1400 vs 2000 is demanding perfection instead of good. He did send multiple checks as well. Trump's offered multiple times and hasn't delivered any checks to anyone. The rebate was a tariff refund to corporations after consumers paid for it.
I'm not arguing that $600 bucks is chump change but $1400 is better than nothing and to say both are liars or promise breakers is not a fair equivalency.
