When Trump had that Iranian girl's school bombed, they were quick to blame it on an AI hallucination.
Another poster speculated that's the point: they aren't having it make tactical decisions, they're building a scapegoat into the decision to commit war crimes.
Bomb a girl's school at the command of an individual? Folks lower on the chain might disobey, civilians demand accountability... It's messy.
Bomb a girl's school at the command of AI? Ope, whoopsie, silly thing thought that was a terrorist training compound - that's a bad AI! Bad!. Junior enlisted fruitlessly bitch about their replacement; civilians post an article warning about the dangers of AI... By Monday no one remembers.
