I have this suspicion that, throughout human history, for all of the men who fathered "a legion" of children, the distinct majority of them were killed by their own heirs and/or had their legacies destroyed by heirs fighting over the inheritance. Maybe just have as many kids as you can be a really good parent to, and no more than that.
So, 0 for musk.

That is good advice, but I think the most effective advice is just go play Crusader Kings 2. It is way more fun than actually trying to do creepy "I must preserve my genetics!" shit in real life.
I have a similar advice for people that get a thrill out of doing financial industry bullshit and playing games with people's lives.... just go play 18xx train games competitively or Dominions 6 if you want to play at being the most ruthless, efficient hoarder of power there is. Doing it in real life is lame and boring as hell.
