Are you posting from Lemmy? That link also is incomplete.

By incomplete, I mean the link is missing some text and it's being replaced by "...".

I can confirm, having the same problem with summit+piefed account. Link only works with summit+lemmy . Piefed support in summit is unfortunately experimental still I think. Probably the maintainers will fix it though if you report it. They are pretty active from my experience Really like the app.

From Piefed, it looks like the link is visually shortened, but you should be able to tap or click it to open the full link. You can also right-click and copy the link, if you want to inspect it. That's unfortunately a quirk on Piefed's side.

In my case it is complete, it simply was turned into a ref. In Markdown, you can create a link that will display a blue text but refer you to an actual link:
