I wanted to watch the most recent Rick & Morty season today. Had to look up what streaming service it was on, then had to download the app, but just before I texted my wife to ask what the credentials were (she pays for streaming stuff), I remembered that I could just go download it. So I did. And proceeded to watch 5 episodes with zero ads and zero interruption.

wanted to watch a show with the family on the weekend

the slowest more interruptive part of the process of getting it on the TV was when I forgot to move the downloaded files to my Plex library folder. forty seconds later and it was fixed. and the controls actually worked and weren't all fucky like most apps are on the AppleTV with the shitty apple remote

I'm working on building an HTPC out of an Optiplex 3040 SFF. Except the fucking "Support Assist" bullshit comes up immediately after POSTing, every single time, and I can't figure out how to disable it.

Edit: my point was that we have a pair of Apple TVs and a pair of Rokus that we're also getting fed up with.
