I’m gonna go out on a limb and say this comes from Uber drivers getting tired of being assaulted and having their vehicles trashed by drunk people.
It’s not all of them, but it’s likely enough of them to ruin it for everyone.
You can never really get rid of the smell of vomit in your car, either.
Ozone should do the trick.

Dealerships use ozone all the time for used cars that were owned by cigarette smokers.

Well, specifically for those who might equate “organic” with “naturally occurring”: natural processes like lightning can create ozone, which is how we got a layer in our atmosphere
Organically in this context refers to “byproduct of a metabolic process / the chemical reactions that power life (but aren’t necessarily occurring inside a life form)”

It’s dries out plastic and cause metal to rust. All the suggestions I’ve seen for generators is remove a bunch of crap before even thinking of using them.

Fuck Uber. I don't even use their, or any other app, for food delivery any more. Slow, unreliable and expensive. It's been fully enshittified for years.
Once had some drunk guys shove a girl in my cab and give me enough cash to get her home. She puked in the back seat. And I had to get her dad to get her out of the cab and her tiny little brother was upset. You get this kinda service from an uber?
Cab drivers get a bad rap, but y'all gotta deal with all kinds of shit. Respect for y'all.
I wish the industry coped better with Uber and lyfts when they were first growing.
Long time since I drove a cab, but I do sense a work ethic to the profession not there with uber drivers OR cabbies are corrupt, please be careful

Probably lawsuits, or the growing threat of lawsuits.
Isn't that the point of the rating system? Drivers can give you a low rating and you can essentially be black listed if it's low enough.
