There's now a multiverse where J Jonah Jameson is screaming at interns "PEOPLE!!! I NEED CUTE PICTURES OF SPIDEY!!! GET ME CAT PICTURES THAT ARE FIT TO PRINT!!!"

And people of NYC just get The Daily Buggle which is just a consistent source of cat pictures. And people of NYC just shrug because they're cool with that. I mean, why do I want to read about some German scientist experimenting with artificial limb control? Why would I want to read that, when I can see MORE CAT PICS!!!

And in this universe, J Jonah Jameson doesn't come off as deranged. He comes off as eccentric. He abandoned the news model, in favor of printing cat pictures, and it worked. Saved print media for himself.

The ~~internet~~ newspaper was made for looking at cat pictures
