I think that says more about how we view men as a group than anything. Why is "too many men" automatically a negative?
It's funny, I stumbled on this meme in the wholesome community just now that I think is fitting:
Because in this context it means there are more men than necessary that exhibit this. Otherwise the statement would be, "not enough men"
