In Canada people pay money for the CBC. That's what a public broadcaster is.
I was making a joke but I didn't know Canada had a similar network. In the US we had PBS which was a non-commercial free to air channel funded partially by public funds.
The person you replied to really doesn't understand sarcasm/satire. I wonder how many Beaverton articles they've fallen for 😂
PBS is still going.

Certain stations such as WGBH are in rude health.
