yeah idk i was just frustrated. like this kind of shit you expect on corpo social media, like reddit or whatever, but it feels different when this crap happens on the fediverse. on ostensibly more welcoming home turf. i've been on here since 2017 primarily on mastodon and seeing blatant bigotry like that just feels wrong. it is definitely more common on the lemmy side of fedi however

The right move is to not give this person much of your thought. Like you can dismiss this person’s opinion as irrelevant and misguided and not spend any more time on it.
