Agreed, he looks bad in the original already. Over-exaggerating that doesn't really make sense if you just want to make fun of Fox News.
Actually... this makes me wonder if the other side is even true. I'm looking but I can't find where Fox News supposedly used the soft drawn version.

That’s only of it originates from the Faux region of France, otherwise it’s just sparkling propaganda.
There are only photoshopped pictures of trump on foxnews.com, not a single plausible straight photograph
Looks like AP just used a color filter, while Fox did a lot more photoshopping work.
They did little tricks like giving it high contrast emphasizing the wrinkles.
Yeah, but it's just like... filter work. The Fox one is full on replacing his face.
Well they do have a bigger task making him look presentable
