The airport is a wild place to judge and gatekeep others. Everyone is stuck there waiting, and depending on specifically where, you have limited access to anything brought-in and are at the mercy of massively overpriced options.
It's also pretty poor vs. poor. If you're going to gate keep the airport, where is the flex about some high tier lounge where you had a beer with a B-list celeb and they served whatever ridiculous stuff they claim those lounges have to sell passes? Lobster ravioli made by some Italian chef from Maine or whatever.
Also the comment is right, the Beff Empenada is just some.boring ass basic shit but they gave it a fancy name.
If they called the burger a "Beef Slabion con Quisito" or some shit to make it spunds fancy and foreign, he wouldn't complain.
So an empanada isn't a rare delicacy or anything, but it's a stretch to say that they just gave it a fancy name. It's not being fancy to call a food by its name, and it's not even foreign for a food to have a Spanish name in Miami.
