Oh we're pivoting away from personal, subjective opinion and towards objectivity now?
30F is literally freezing, which is obviously below "cold."
30F is definitely hotter than -40F, there's no argument from me there.
I also do not dispute your similarly new point of the US southwest having the record for the hottest weather recorded on earth, so far.
We appear to disagree on other things, though.
