£ is pound sterling sign, not pound sign. # is pound sign.

Not over here it isn't.

(I'm assuming you're from over there of course)

I'm from neither there nor there, but given that there are two signs that can be called pound sign, it's IMO less confusing if you use "pound sterling" sign for the pound sterling, and "pound" sign for the other pound sign

Also the word pound has lost all meaning to me now, it look weird to read or write the word pound

There's one word for pound sign. The other thing is called hash

super aside, the text to speech in R.e.p.o doesn't pronounce parentheses but it does for square and curly brackets, which you can type really fast and then annoy your friends with minute long voice lines.

They just ask the llm to make regex

On the one hand, each and every one of those has at least one pronounceable name, but on the other, I think these masks are for natural language, conversational AI prompt generation, so there'd be little to no need for any of them.

You've got to remember that this is being marketed towards bosses and C-levels who haven't written a line of code in their lives, or have completely forgotten how, much preferring to tell people what they want and then expecting it to magically appear in front of them as soon as possible.
