Flippanarchy
Flippant Anarchism. A lighter take on social criticism with the aim of agitation.
Post humorous takes on capitalism and the states which prop it up. Memes, shitposting, screenshots of humorous good takes, discussions making fun of some reactionary online, it all works.
This community is anarchist-flavored. Reactionary takes won't be tolerated.

Absolutely no right-wing jokes. This includes "Anarcho"-Capitalist concepts.

Absolutely no redfash jokes. This includes anything that props up the capitalist ruling classes pretending to be communists.

This is an anarchist comm. You don't have to be an anarchist to post, but you should at least understand what anarchism actually is. We're not here to educate you.

No shaming people for being anti-electoralism. This should be obvious from the above point but apparently we need to make it obvious to the turbolibs who can't control themselves. You have the rest of lemmy to moralize.

No they most certainly are not cohesive, if certain leftists insist on clinging to mis- and dis- information, especially when certain leftists know that Western media is consistently and constantly carrying water for the same system that oppresses us with:
The same leftists, I might add, that DV comments that discuss Gell-Mann amneaia, ~~whine~~ while refusing to consider just maybe accusations lobbed in this very thread just may be more psyop lies, or at the very least, gross misrepresentation, like
Edit to add: and while I admit I'm woefully inadequate in my knowledge of history, we deal with individuals like this, in 2h and 3D who prefer to feel clever with reactions line this: https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/comment/27196446 rather than do the briefest cursory search to actually learn a fact it two, even casually.
I'm not sure which user you're referring to but just because they're being super problematic right now doesn't mean that's the entirety of who they are or who they will always be. Let alone whether or not calling them out is going to actually cause them to stop downvoting stuff or suddenly see their cognitive dissonance for what it is.
We're all just kind of here to act out some fantasy or other, changing that person would rely on them first desiring to be a kind of person who changes their mind (which in certain dumbass cultures is seen as a sign of weakness). Does that sound like the average comment section enjoyer to you?
Wait, just checked the link. Yeah that guy don't want to read. But who's to say how they spends their time offline? Obviously not reading about Smedley Butler which is a grave mistake but even bad institutions like churches can be capable to doing actual community outreach which is more than what really goes on here.
Yes, and I interact with well-meaning church-goers and neighbors, and just kind of grit my teeth and smile and nod when they start on me about going to their various churches, although I do occasionally enjoy a sermon at a local church or two, while also not buying into everything they say. At the same time, they're not organizing beyond voting or handing out surplus vegetables, which is commendable work for sure. They say election outcomes are in G-d's hands, but will absolutely campaign for their buddy who runs for various office, but can't tell you one thing from an actual platform.
Yeah, that's the catch isn't it? They build communities and connect to people while at the same time training them to mentally compartmentalize ushering in the third Reich. Lil Bill on youtube is a leftist who pivoted from education and discourse to primarily acting within his community and coordinating with the oldheads to help people survive the maga era. That's black churches though so the crowd is less acquiescent to maga anyway.
But for what it's worth even if everything here feels useless and like a distraction to me from engaging with the world and anarchism is a meaningful way, it's always nice to chat with you see you go back and forth with other people. Keep it real, Maeve ✌️
If only black churches in my and surrounding communities were that forward -thinking (ask me how I know 🫠). And I get it, it's time for white people to put themselves on the line, and in* my area that's not happening either. Something something, loss aversion.
I'm currently recovering from something so I'm definitely online more than I prefer, lately. Organizing or not, mutual aid is righteous, good, and pure.
Thanks for engaging with me in honesty and good faith. I appreciate it.
