Ok, I upvoted you because I agree with what you said, but I’m trying to enjoy my day, so I’m not gonna get dragged into this argument. That’s been going on for decades.
Seriously. I’ve got a bottle of bourbon and a big bag of weed and I just bought cyberpunk 2077 ultimate on Steam summer sale, so I got shit to do. And that shit does not include wallowing in my own misery over what the fuck the corporations did with Star Trek and Doctor Who. I’m gonna wait it out in my bomb shelter and see what the state of things is in five years. And I recommend you do the same.
Just be glad that Marvel dumps it central mega star when they come down with a case of the grab ass, and has the wherewithal to restart its franchise, rather than just steaming forward regardless.

I will leave you with a recommendation. Go check out Orville, if you haven't already. Skip the first... fivish episodes, because they're pretty bad. But over the course of three seasons, it's some of the best Star Trek that's been produced in the last decade.
What kills me is that Jonathan Majors was a legit good actor. Gina Carano, too. If they could have just kept their shit together and their opinions to themselves for six more months, they wouldn't be doing D-List slop films for The Daily Wire. They'd probably be getting greenlit for some Skydance Films mega-movie under the Ellisons.
