Also, curious what genre you would call the album, Dookie then? I didnt listen to much of greenday except for Kerplunk and Dookie.

Pop-punk. Imo it's too mild and overproduced for a proper punk album.

well yeah, punk is not punk rock, nor pop punk, or hardcore punk, or ska punk, or the other 100 punk versions out there.
