Problems with this theory:
Not to argue about the other points but:
Isn't that where anime girls come from? So who ever wants to lower birth rates worldwide, started in Japan and now reaches other countries.
Maybe the weapon got out of control and Japan was the first victim.
everyone is becoming femboys with animal tails. and they are so sexy that normie men have lost interest in normie women.

I think anime girls predate Japan's current demographic problems. There was concerns in the past in Japan about overcrowding and anime girls may have appeared around that time.
So this theory is still plausible.
