I'm pretty sure they are still an active band on radio rotation. It's not like asking "Ever heard of Hot Action Cop?

Active on radio? You mean that thing with all the knobs on my grandma’s book shelf?

They released a new album in June this year

Is the original joke that Evanescence is actually still popular in rock, so asking makes you look silly?

Evanescence literally had two #1 hits over the past two years.

People who listen to rock music have definitely heard of Evanescence.

I wouldn't say definitely based on hits charts: people can be pretty unaware of culturally significant bands quite easily by only using streaming services...

Oh never mind these Evanescence hits are on airplay! Ignore this

~~Billboard has counted streams for years. Sales, streams, and airplay.~~

News this year was that Billboard stopped counting YouTube streams because Google was trying to throw their weight around to affect the charts. Which I thought was interesting.

I literally only know them from the video game Burnout

They're on tour in the US right now. I see merch everywhere, and on the rare occasion that I listen to the radio, they still pop up.
