No really, Americans are not even trying to build a better civilization, they are doing the opposite.
Building and improving civilization is a very well defined goal, of respecting human rights, respecting minorities and building a well functioning democracy and society.
Americans are doing none of that.

Your failure to understand this, and failure to identify the problems and possible solutions is part of the problem.
The flock camera is not the problem but a symptom, and the problem is forgotten when the symptom is debated.
Americans claim individuality and personal freedom, but few developed countries have such disregard and lack of protection for the individual USA has.
Instead USA has freedom for the cooperations and agencies to fuck individuals over as they like.

Edit:
Funny how this is downvoted, despite it's obviously true, the American society has clearly degraded for the past 9 years.
And a couple of decades before that it wasn't progressing as a civilized society like other developed countries either.

Doubling down on the pretense was certainly a choice.

Guess what, little bro? We know. Some of us are out there actually fighting this battle.

"Some of you" are not Americans in general, as in the majority.
I also wonder why you feel personally attacked if you are not in the group I described?

Me: “You’re being annoying and pretentious.”

You: “Sounds like someone feels personally attacked!”

We done?

Me: Making a point.

You: Whuaah Whuaah

Now we're done.

Yeah I'm a US American, our culture is hot garbage. We're inconsiderate, entitled, proudly ignorant, revel in violence, and hate poor people and minorities. I've lived all over the country. I've had good neighbors, but every neighborhood I've lived in has been exactly as I describe. Anyone that thinks I'm wildly off base here probably fits very neatly into the above categories.

I'm American too, and yeah, even most (nominally) leftwing Americans are in denial about how shitty American culture is. They still have the the american civil religion in their head.
