True, the ICEs grow more shitty from year to year. But the EVs are made to be "the future". They begin where some ICEs end. Plus you can't really make a totally dumb EVs.

But yes, I loved progress from manually winding windows to electric, or ACs, and even android auto (on an anonymous account on a dedicated phone). But with "going online" and 99% touch instead of haptic, nope. Go fuck yourselves.

We bought some "cheap" cars to test if it would work too. And sticked with a Mitsubishi. No bells, no whistles, only what we really want/need.

You also cant make a totally dumb ICE anymore with safety and emission regulations. If you buy a new car, it will have all the necessary tech in it to track you and send telemetry. It doesn't matter how barebone the car looks unless you personally stripped everything down to the metal and remove every electric component that's not 100% required.

Maybe in the US...here, customers have a tiny bit of rights and protection left. our car has no such nonsense. Expensive crap has been stripped out. In this model you can't even get any connected features and we already have the top model of the bottom class 😁

If with "here" you mean anywhere close to the EU market, then I have to dissapoint you. An SOS button is mandatory which then also includes a GPS module.

Only applies to brand-new models. Ours does not have this, despite being just made because the model itself is there for a longer time :-) Besides, this thing poses no harm at all. It just sends an MSD to the emergency-hotline. That is absolutely helpful. Why would I, or anyone, mind that?

I do mind telemetry and whatnot going to some nasty corporations without my consent. And subscription-based crap due to a constantly connected car. All Shit I don't even want but also have to pay for like the obedient lil consumer-filth that they take me for.
