At least he can always breathe fresh hair.

important question for hipsters: did anyone get away without a covid mask by claiming their soup strainer was anti-viral?

Interestingly (to me, because I’m a science nerd) studies showed just after those gator masks started showing up that anything that touches your mouth and has holes bigger than pathogens you’re trying to filter out make you MORE prone to catching the pathogen compared to just not having it, because the moisture from your breath collects on the fabric and that moisture collects the pathogens and then encourages infection as it holds it near or on your mucosal membranes and oral cavity. So I’d suspect the same applies to a mustache that hangs over your mouth.

So this isn’t to relitigate if masks work or not, they absolutely do. The study showed that professionally designed masks are the only thing that works and anything suboptimal actually increases your risk of infection. So wear real masks, dummies, not propaganda you saw on YouTube, Facebook and Fox News.
