No, you don't understand! Imagine you want to show your buddies a game and the first thing they see is this BLATANT display of the gay! They'll have no choice but to conclude it's a gay game and you too must be gay! The horror!

I can imagine the conversation with the bro he's trying to impress, who's totally straight, too. Something along the lines of "Bro, a rainbow? That's so fucking gay, bro! Like, two hunky dudes kissing each other in the mouth gay, bro! That shit only girls like, bro! It's girly, bro! That's why I only hang out with real male bros, bro, even during sex!"
