Does anyone remember Supermarket Sweep? Most of the game show involved finding specific items, but the main event was to fill your cart up in a specified amount of time and see who had the most money's worth of food. How do you not just go straight to seafood and load up on lobster and crab and stuff like that? Then hit the meat department (which should be right next to seafood) and load up on steaks. It seems like that's where everyone would go, except the person going for baby formula. That might win, especially if you stack it right. But I'd go for seafood and then meat.
Cart overflowing with steaks and baby formula and detergent. Grand total: $600.
Nickelodeon had a kids version with them running through a toys r us. Those kids were dumb. Should have found the video game section. Or the LEGO Isle. Or hell, grab all the bike price tags.
I never saw that! I never would have thought (back then) that LEGO was so expensive. I woulda gone for the video games.
