Majority of pickups sold in the USA should require a CDL. They are semi sized death machines.
We could definitely improve road safety by making less safe vehicles less easy. Without doing anything hard like changing infrastructure. Unfortunately, there are a lot of emotion driven large children who would get mad.
The EU already has stricter licensing rules than the US, IIRC.
But grandmal likes to be able to see over all the other cars . It is easier for here to get in too. America will never improve ever. We are locked into our demise. Our elders have failed us.
