Can you elaborate on "ignoring reality"?
That patriarchy is still diffuse and dominant throughout society and that unfunny statements like this made by a handful of people is irrelevant to that.
The fact like people like the OP are so rare out in the wild or at least don't say unhinged shit like that out loud. What you're reading is 100% twitter-brain. Or a fed, they do this too because reactionaries basically do their work for them.
where do you live?
where i live the OP is pretty common. but I live and have lived in mostly elite privileged places, full of the trust fund wannabe boss babe feminist types. they are really out there, they just are concentrated in the most privileged and elite places.
and anecdotally, the vast majority of the angry feminist social media types i have known irl... were trust fund babies with daddy issues. their feminism and such is just classic over compensation for their real world dependency on men and male figures. I've never met a working-class or middle-class angry feminist... because they are too busy having to work and provide for themselves.
when i was in grad school we had a rad fem. she was engaged to a traditional, physically and verbally abusive guy and she'd been with him for 8 years. she was also, physically and verbally abusive to people, but you know it was 'just' in her eyes because she was 'fighting the patriarchy' meanwhile in her personal life, she was actively reinforcing it.
You won't find women like the OP living in Ypsilanti, MI, but you will find them living one town over in Ann Arbor.
I've moved around a lot and experienced a variety of American shittiness. Maybe I just found the archtypal boss babe or oUtRagEoUs fEmiNaZi to be pretty over sensationalized by boomers.
Generally when women want to actually hurt people it's far more effective to leverage their status within patriarchy as property, since there are much worse things that can happen to you than a "mean college student with blue hair".
Ironically the feminists who boomers are shitting their pants over are actually trying to divest themselves of all that, but who cares right?
