I really wonder to what degree “Self Driving Vehicles” are being completely or partially supervised and controlled by an overseas desk worker.

Yes afew years ago it was. But now they go pretty regularly without intervention.
0% my dude. There is no lvl 5 driving car. Anything below lvl 4 requires human supervision (how often is a different topic).
You're right. At first it was with a person in the driver seat, then passenger seat, then over wifi/Internet. You are the pattern. It's only getting better.
I really hope they start poaching workers in outsourcing industry and make prices go up soon.
