People who don't wear shoes indoors and keep their floors clean generally put their socks on in their bedroom after they got out of bed and their shoes on in the entryway when they're about to go outside.

You know, people who don't live like animals.

Y'all wear socks in the house?!

[–] luxadazy@lemmy.zip 2 points 12 hours ago

compression socks on right after i get up ◡̈

[–] OR3X@lemmy.world 11 points 18 hours ago (2 children)

Yes, because I have hardwood and tile floors. Shit's cold in the winter.

That's what house slippers, thick socks and some good rugs are for. Even if somehow you have a special pair of shoes that you only wear inside and never outside for the obvious hygiene reasons, they are probably bad for your feet compared to walking barefoot.

Also, sliding around pretending to ice skate.

In the winter its unthinkable not to but in the summer it's unthinkable to wear socks. Why did my ancestors choose to settle down in Ontario where the weather is one extreme or the other

[–] takeda@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 16 hours ago

I guess it depends how sweaty your feet can get.

When you live in a very small, uncarpeted apartment, the line between the entryway and the rest of the dwelling becomes fuzzy and permeable.

You do you. You don't need to pass such harsh judgment on other people for what they do.

Ya freak.

IDK who downvoted you but they missed the obvious joke. Have my upvote.

This is my Roman Empire. When I find out people live with their shoes in the house I don't want to visit them again. Your willingness to drag the outside fecal matter on the floors of your supposedly clean house is a huge red flag about you as a person for me.

👉👈 But some of us DO live like animals...

I'm straddling the line between having my normal tech job and embodying the meme of the resume/linkedin that transitioned from Senior Architect at Microsoft to goose farmer.

That plus the AuDHD means I am deep into like 10 different projects at home, half of which involve the critters.

What can I say? Sometimes I'm a dirty boy.
