A new IRENA report finds that 24/7 “firm” clean energy is cheaper than coal and gas in many parts of the world. The Iran war may catalyze faster adoption.

Utility scale PV + BESS is. Not Commercial & Industrial (C&I) scale in suburban and urban contexts.

Countries need to be subsidizing small PV + BESS for this reason. Utility scale has fully taken off and is mature at this point.
