They are assigned. They all chose their places and now they don't change. Not pictured is Hazel who gets locked in the basement. Otherwise she will inhale her food, steal everyone else's food, then throw it all up because she ate too fast.
one of my catties is the same! She's devour her food, then boots my other cat off his food and devour his. My other cat is a slow eater (as in, he usually doesn't finish his food before the next meal is due). I have to walk around the house and take his food to whatever room I'm in, so my old lass doesn't devour his food too. It's annoying, but I care about them both, so i make it work.
