The position puts her at odds with some on the left, such as Rep. Ro Khanna, another potential 2028 contender, who said he wants to find “common ground” with people like Greene.

In a conversation Friday at the University of Chicago Institute of Politics moderated by David Axelrod, the onetime political strategist to President Barack Obama, a student asked Ocasio-Cortez whether she stood by past remarks that there were “legitimate white supremacist sympathizers at the core of the House of Representatives caucus” and, if so, why she worked with some of them.

Ocasio-Cortez did stand by them and said she wasn’t scared of reaching across the aisle, holding up her work with Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Tenn. But she set a clear boundary.

“I personally do not trust someone like Marjorie Taylor Greene, a proven bigot and antisemite, on the issue of what is good for Gazans and Israelis,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “I don’t think it benefits our movement in that instance to align the left with white nationalists. I don’t think it serves us.”

Nope we can and must do better than MTG.

You have not done better than mtg though, you (we,) have lost every level of government.

I have absolutely, unequivocally done better than mtg because I am a relatively meaningless person and thus have not singlehandedly moved the needle towards fascism and collapse in the US like mtg has by enabling and drawing power from being associated with MAGA and Trump for so long.

Done better, by losing every branch of government? I don't think you have really thought through these opinions to reject everyone you are told to for lack of purity, while still accepting and defending democrats that are even worse.

Seems to me, Israel is playing you.

My argument is that mtg's impact has been massively detrimental, it doesn't feel like you have grasped that.

She is better than most Democrats NOW though. She represents a large contingent of dissident right, cynical though most of their influencers are, we need them to unseat the party, which is reaching for absolute power while we turn on each other.

we need them to unseat the party, which is reaching for absolute power while we turn on each other.

Just reach across the aisle, one more time, bro. They'll see sense and vote with us this time. Trust me, bro. We just need to add MTG to the Cheney, and we'll overthrow the Magas. Seriously. Bro.

No she is not, she is an untrustable rightwing grifter who believes in batshit crazy ideas and is actually antisemitic instead of anti-Israel.

She is a danger to the US same as she ever was, just because she isn't on team trump anymore doesn't really change that.

I don't agree. I think she was a true believer that saw the error of her ways, and defected, and as such deserves our support.

It's not a coincidence that after the president disowned her, all of sudden left sites were awash in opinions you are now espousing.

And you didn't answer my question, where you get off being so selective in your purity when your politicians lost every branch of government. I am continually amazed at how bad individual people are at resisting organized interests manipulating them,

I hope you can eat some mushroom and smoke some greenbud and re-examine whom you trust, because it's not the right people now, not entirely.

This is the person you are wasting your breath defending, fool.

Greene has been fined many times for not wearing a mask on the House floor. The first occasion was on May 18, 2021, when she was fined $500.[192][193] Two days later, on a podcast hosted by evangelical commentator David Brody,[194] Greene called Pelosi "mentally ill" and said that Pelosi's requirement that House members continue wearing masks until they all prove they have been vaccinated "is exactly the [same] type of abuse" as Jews being "put in trains and taken to gas chambers in Nazi Germany" during the Holocaust.[195][20][196] Greene said she incurred a second fine of $2,500 after she again entered the House floor without a mask, and she dubbed Pelosi "Speaker Maskhole" in response.[197][198] The day after the podcast, she defended her comments, adding, "any rational Jewish person doesn't like what's happening with overbearing mask mandates and overbearing vaccine policies." Her comments drew widespread criticism, including from leading Republican representatives and the Jewish community.[20][199][200][201] On June 14, Greene publicly apologized for her comments after a private visit to the Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C.[21] Three weeks later, she compared Biden's suggestion to provide door-to-door vaccinations to "medical brownshirts" and said: "You can't force people to be part of the human experiment."[202][203] By the end of October 2021, she had been fined 20 times for not wearing a mask on the House floor. According to House rules, subsequent fines were $2,500 each. Thus, with the 20th occasion, she had been fined a total of $48,000.[204]

...

In a January 2019 Facebook video, Greene said Pelosi is guilty of treason and that treason is a crime punishable by death. Greene made the video to promote a petition she started on We the People to impeach Pelosi for treason — a remedy that does not exist in the U.S. Constitution[328] — due to her opposition to Trump's proposed border wall, as well as alleged support for sanctuary city policies. More than 140,000 people signed the petition.[329][17][330] In February 2019 videos live-streamed on Facebook, Greene visited Pelosi's office and suggested that Pelosi would either be killed or imprisoned for treason. She then suggested that Representative Maxine Waters had also committed treason.[17]

In 2018 and 2019, Greene's Facebook account expressed support for the execution of leading Democrats, including Pelosi, Barack Obama, and Hillary Clinton, as well as support for the execution of FBI agents.[17][331] For example, in response to an April 2018 post asking, "Now do we get to hang them?? Meaning H & O???", Greene's account responded: "Stage is being set. Players are being put in place. We must be patient. This must be done perfectly or liberal judges would let them off."[17] Greene did not deny the authenticity of the reported content, but stated that the CNN article was "focused on my time before running for political office", that "teams of people manage my pages", and that CNN had reported on content that "did not represent my views".[17][331]

Tell it to Biden, Harris, and Clinton. Or Jeffries, Schumer, Pelosi. Great guys! /s
