Mate, criticizing Democratic candidate, even lightly, absolutely prevents people from voting for them. You're lying to yourself and everyone else if you think otherwise.

We’re gonna colonize your party and there is nothing you can do about it, fossil

God I hope not, you fascists already took over the Republican party.

Then the party should fucking die or live with the fact that you can’t force people into a religion, which would be the more appropriate term for an uncriticizeable group of political leaders than a party.

Do you actually for real believe that’s how politics works? Because if you do that’s honestly sad as shit. Why would you support a group so weak that the most basic criticism of them makes them fail? If criticism is all it takes, why is the Republican Party still in charge?

Hint: if your answer requires one group of people being entirely stupid or evil to make your world view work, it it’s probably an oversimplified view of the world.

How convenient for the genocide wing that anyone who says anything even remotely untoward about netanyahu's pets supports trump.

Centrist democrats refused to stop selling weapons that they knew were being used to commit genocide. They remained steadfast on this one issue while buckling on so many others.

The characterization is accurate, even if it bothers you to see it.

[–] NerdyTimesOrWhatever@lemmy.today 0 points 3 days ago (1 children)

"Centrist democrats are selling guns -" What percentage of centrist democrats have the ability to stop or facilitate a greater degree of human-destruction objects being sold? Is Mrs. Cookie, a fabricated centrist democrat, able to sell weaponry herself? How do you know how she feels on that specific topic? She's a centrist democrat so she must be pro-genocide! Some "democrats" in congress arent COMPLETELY MONOLITHICALLY representative of everyone who voted for them. Or do you agree with every single thing your representative says or does?

“Centrist democrats are selling guns -” What percentage of centrist democrats have the ability to stop or facilitate a greater degree of human-destruction objects being sold?

The leaders of their wing of the party do. Centrists don't criticize. They don't vote for better candidates in the primaries. They approve.

Ahh so thats what you mean- Indifferent people and idiots. You could say something more along the lines of "Indifference has led to genocide over and over. Harris did not oppose a genocide, relying on that indifference. Dont be indifferent." Its longer than "you support genocide", but its nicer and gets the same basic point across. "Dont support genocide" is also an option, attacking the people whos' minds you want to change/could change isnt productive.

[–] Ensign_Crab@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago

You could say something more along the lines of “Indifference has led to genocide over and over. Harris did not oppose a genocide, relying on that indifference.

Harris' continuation of Biden's support for genocide inspired indifference in an electorate already jaded by Biden's broken campaign promises. The gaslighting about the economy didn't help either.

You are characterizing a group as a monolith. Thats like saying all liberals have blue hair and want your kids to be gay. Its entirely untrue, its just a lie you tell yourself to try to feel better than who you are considering an outgroup- Centrist democrats. Put away the beatstick Jim Crow, we know how you feel.

[–] Ensign_Crab@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

You are characterizing a group as a monolith.

And that's only ok when calling people who don't like genocide Russian bots.

[–] NerdyTimesOrWhatever@lemmy.today 0 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Are people regularly calling you a bot or something? I think those people probably dont talk to others much.

[–] Ensign_Crab@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago (2 children)

One did it just a couple hours ago or so. It's one of a stack of thought-terminating cliches centrists use when confronted with the actions they should abandon their wing of the party over. Trumpers have their own stack that they use for the same purpose, but you don't tend to see them on lemmy.

Just scroll through the thread and look.

Gotta get ready for adulting and work or Id keep talking to you. Bots are pretty obvious especially when engaged in a long or multi-thread conversation, so if its any consolation I know you arent a bot lol

[–] NerdyTimesOrWhatever@lemmy.today 0 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Bots dont have consistent and complicated opinions. I think they would vomit the same word soup instead of having a conversation.

Unless you ARE a bot (dun dun dunnnn) which would kinda freak me out at this point.

[–] Ensign_Crab@lemmy.world 1 points 3 days ago

Bots dont have consistent and complicated opinions.

And yet I don't go around calling centrists bots. I define them by the lone policy of the wing of the party they choose to remain in.

absolutely prevents people from voting for them

LMAO then ya'll are doomed. If your candidates fold like a napkin any time they're criticized you might as well just move to Europe. You're in a cult. Millions of people have criticized GOP candidates and they still win elections. Taking criticism shoud be an important part of being a candidate, and if any criticism towards you makes you lose you were always weak.

[–] sunrisepirate@piefed.social -4 points 6 days ago (1 children)

I love that your assumption about someone criticizing fascist propaganda is that they're a centrist Democrat, like progressives are onboard with voter suppression. You fascists have weird world view.

This comic isn't about telling people to not vote, you unholy, neanderthal headed clown. The original context of the comic is Lucy yanking the ball away every time Charlie Brown tries to kick it. It's about people voting for them over and over, and gaining nothing but inaction and lies from it. Charlie shouldn't stop kicking the ball. LUCY should stop being a manipulative dickhead. It means the DNC shoud stop trying to gain votes by being a manipulative piece of shit, and instead LISTEN TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.

You are literally a live fucking example of the "54% of americans have reading comprehension below a 6th grade level" statistic. You useless, utter buffoon.

[–] BurgerBaron@piefed.social 3 points 3 days ago

That's the #1 most insane crash out I've read this year so far. Idk if that was worth it for you to deal with but...wonderfully navigated. I've never seen someone so fast and loose with fascism accusations.
