Welcome to the News community!

Rules:

1. Be civil

Attack the argument, not the person. No racism/sexism/bigotry. Good faith argumentation only. This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban. Do not respond to rule-breaking content; report it and move on.

2. All posts should contain a source (url) that is as reliable and unbiased as possible and must only contain one link.

Obvious biased sources will be removed at the mods’ discretion. Supporting links can be added in comments or posted separately but not to the post body. Sources may be checked for reliability using Wikipedia, MBFC, AdFontes, GroundNews, etc.

3. No bots, spam or self-promotion.

Only approved bots, which follow the guidelines for bots set by the instance, are allowed.

4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source. Clickbait titles may be removed.

Posts which titles don’t match the source may be removed. If the site changed their headline, we may ask you to update the post title. Clickbait titles use hyperbolic language and do not accurately describe the article content. When necessary, post titles may be edited, clearly marked with [brackets], but may never be used to editorialize or comment on the content.

5. Only recent news is allowed.

Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.

6. All posts must be news articles.

No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, blogs, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.

7. No duplicate posts.

If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.

8. Misinformation is prohibited.

Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.

9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.

All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.

10. Don't copy entire article in your post body

For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

I think executing ~~a~~ multiple genocides > supplying and supporting a genocide.

Yet the US is committing violence on a global scale. The US still has legal slavery. School shootings are normalized. Crime rates are through the roof. Their judicial system is corrupt. So is their incarceration system, which commits crimes against humanity itself. Their police is extremily violent, while being equipped with military grade weapons and gear. They started more wars than anyone.

What Israel is doing is horrific. What the US does is on such a larger scale, while also supporting the genocide Israel is committing, among all the other war crimes and crimes against humanity from Israel. Israel is the biggest bully of the Middle East. The US is the biggest bully of the world.

Well argued. I’m not going to fight my position. US is surface level very obviously violent, but Israel is the one which works behind the scenes and sets up elaborate schemes to treat many other brands of humans worse than we treat cattle.

America you can avoid by no longer using silicon valley garbage and just not going there. Israel is everywhere, behind the scenes buying the politician you voted for more than 10,000km away from Jerusalem, just to make sure you don’t shout on the streets that Palestine should be free.

Israel is covert and cloak and dagger. Journalists are killed first. At least in the US, it is still being filmed and rapist soldiers wouldn’t get sent straight to the battlefield.

Happy to give the top award to USA, Israel and Russia all together at the same time.

Like slavery? Torture? Institutionalized racism? Apartheid? Like, having to vote to be harder when you're living in certain areas where only non-white ethnicities live. Have sentences to be harsher for non-white ethnicities, as well as a higher chance to be convicted or to be arrested in the first place. This is the US.

Yeah, like the US does nothing to influence foreign politics and do not buy politicians. Remember JD Vance flying to Hungary to publicly show support for it's ex-dictator Orban? Their diplomats even break the rules by mingling in foreign country policies. The CIA has infused turmoil in many countries resulting in civil wars and toppling of governments (Libya for example) when they became too anti American. You know, the same reason why they invaded Iraq the last time, because their puppet broke ties.

And like they don't control the internet, the PC parts industry, the software industry on which we all depend on fully. Their media is the most influential in the world but is owned by a few oligarchs. They have bases, which are overseas colonies, all over the world and more than any other country ever had. How can we avoid the US when they cause the entire world to run out of oil, which is starting to create a global economic crisis?

Israel is covert and cloak and dagger. Journalists are killed first. At least in the US, it is still being filmed and rapist soldiers wouldn’t get sent straight to the battlefield.

You're forgetting the covert party of the US. You might miss it because they also do so much out in the open. The CIA and NSA are the biggest covert ops agencies of the world, but there are many more agencies from that country.

Don't start on press freedom, the US ranks 57 out of 180, between Sierra Leone and Gambia.

Rapist soldiers wouldn't get sent to the battlefield? Really? Do you have any idea what happened in Afghanistan and Iraq? And how many soldiers were allowed to continue torturing and raping Afghans and Iraqis, and fellow soldiers, after they got cought? It only became an issue when photos were leaked, but even then many never faced prosecution. And next to them being allowed to continue, known child rapists are voted into presidential office. And people who stand up for their rights or to protect others are being executed. And yes, it is being filmed, but even then it is supported and protected by the US government and agents do not face prosecution or will be pardoned.

Happy to give the top award to USA, Israel and Russia all together at the same time.

Israel is worse than Russia, although Russia also does a lot of shady covert shit around the world. But both of them don't even come close to the US when it comes to violence and influence on the world stage, looking at now and looking back in history.
