Pretty much all Japanese car makers went all in on hybrids, and are realizing too late they should have transitioned to BEV at some point.

It’s really hard to determine when the right time to transition is. It’ll be costly to build a factory producing obsolete battery tech. Both Honda and Toyota are sitting on some large cash reserves. They see the writing on the wall it’s just tricky to know when to pull the trigger.

They missed the boat on research. Look at the BEV Toyota put out. Pathetic and outdated. Honda didn't do a thing. And their CEOs still pushing an agenda of ICE vehicles. It's just bad business.
