Totally agree with everything you said except the edgy part. I do agree to an extent that it's super edgy but I don't think it's edgy for the sake of edgy, the virus, like I said, makes you release all of your deepest desires and for most people on the planet, that's sex and, since they're still a zombie technically, murder (even if they originally don't want to kill people). I really think it's a good plot because, while yes most people infected with the C-Virus are horny asf, it also shows people whose deepest desires are to destroy priceless art or to run around naked or to murder people, but some people, especially religious folks, don't have any of those desires so you end up with friendly Crossed (I won't say who since it's a pretty big spoiler but it's really cool) whose deepest desires are to help people. But I do agree that some parts do feel edgy for the sake of being edgy, even if there is a lore explanation for it.
It sounds like we are on the same page except that you like it and I don't. No accounting for taste as they say. Perhaps some years from now I'll give it another go and change my mind. Cheers!
Of course! You're welcome to like or dislike if you want, hell, the Lemmy community is pretty tame most of the time, like, we'll discuss lore or mods for games that add Crossed or whatever, it's mainly just EXTREME gore or nudity that is labeled as NSFW so if you don't like that you are welcome to turn off NSFW and just look at posts about the lore haha
