Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.

Posts should be related to UK-centric politics, and should be either a link to a reputable news source for news, or a text post on this community.

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)

Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

I know they canceled the festival, but why? They could easily hire someone else and move on

“Easily”? Not really.

The UK and European summer festival circuit is highly competitive. Those high-profile acts willing to do festival appearances (many aren’t) book years in advance.

Those who aren’t committed to the dates in question may have signed exclusivity window deals with other festivals precluding their appearance anywhere else.

The PR of being second-choice to a literal nazi isn’t something that gets agents beating down the promoter’s door.

Given the sunk costs involved, if they thought they could line up a replacement tjey would have.

It was billed as a festival but really it was Kanye and a few other acts.

Maybe they had an insurance policy for if a headliner couldn't attend? In that case definitely easier for the organisers to just cancel and claim

That's a "no show" insurance, maybe they had a clause for canceling everything if Kayne couldn't act

maybe it makes a bigger statement and gets more headlines for the organisers this way.
