In my country they planned the Gaza protests in less than a week last year, they were huge, and guess what, I didn't need to go to the capital to participate, I went to the one in my city.
Protesting in my city is pointless because Republicans immediately write off my city and my state and have been doing so for decades because we don't vote for them.

So you're linking an article describing a very successful protest to explain how protesting is useless?
Look, just say "I don't want to do it! I don't care enough about others to do something about this, I'm ok with being complicit to atrocities."
It wasn't successful. It had zero impact on the war and only served to make sure the Bush administration ignored anything we had to say.
Further, it made sure all future Republican administrations also ignore us.
